About The Position

REE Automotive (Nasdaq: REE) is changing the electric mobility and aims at becoming the standard for electric vehicles. REE’s disruptive corner technology enables a completely flat and modular chassis that supports mission-specific EVs from class 1 to class 6 for commercial vehicles and people movers. 

 

REE is seeking a Sr. Director of Sales, North America to support REE’s rapid growth and development activities in the region and be part of the global business development team (reporting to the CBO). 

 

Responsibilities:

·      Initiate, develop and foster business opportunities with new and existing customers within the automotive sector with fleet owners and automotive dealers

·      Strategically map potential customers for REE and initiate relationship with them

·      Ensure closing of existing and new business activities with customers in a hands-on approach

·      Administer new business, communicate and follow-through each stage to ensure the company is aligned with customer needs, deadlines are met, and agreements are fully implemented

·      Lead cross-functional teams through the process from initial RFQ through full implementation and first deliveries to the customer/partner

·      Lead the negotiation with specific potential customers towards closing agreements

·      Manage ongoing relationships with existing customers and business partners in the region

·      Ensure ongoing reporting for current and prospective business

·      Proven track record of generating revenue for the company closing deals

Requirements

·      At least 15+ years’ experience in a managerial role & 5+ years’ experience in the automotive industry and the EV space

·      Proven experience in working with fleets and automotive dealers in North America

·      Deep understanding and knowledge of the Electric Vehicle ecosystem to include last & mid-mile delivery, commercial vehicles, ride-hailing, autonomous shuttles, fleet operators and fleet owners, OEMs

·      Proven track record of growing new businesses in a start-up or fast-growing technology company

·      Proven networking capabilities to senior leadership

·      Sale driven with strong record of successfully achieving results

·      Proactive and customer success driven

·      Vast experience in drafting and negotiating agreements

·      Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

·      Ability to track and manage multiple customer programs from inception to implementation

·      Strong leadership, interpersonal & influencing skills and with high levels of empathy

·      Possess the ability to foster working relationships and establish trust across organizational lines both internally and externally

·      Highly organized with an ability to balance multiple projects and escalations in a dynamic environment

·      Willingness to travel across North America (HQ to be established in Austin, TX)
