By-Wire
Digital control with zero compromise
REE replaces traditional mechanical systems with fully digital steer, brake, and drive-by-wire control for precision handling, real-time adaptability, and built-in redundancy. Centralized control through the REEcenter ECU enables OTA-tunable dynamics, brand differentiation, and scalability across vehicle programs.
Introducing the P7-C Class 5 electric chassis cab
Powered by REE®
It’s electric, but it’s not like anything you’ve seen before. Everything about the P7-C EV chassis cab was made to improve operational efficiencies. Effortless maneuvering, low noise, zero emissions, a minimal step-in height and excellent visibility all add up to a safe and efficient working environment. You don’t need to settle for legacy technology when transitioning your fleet to electric. You can make the most out of your investment now.
The P7-C is designed around four ingenious REEcorner® modules. Each are individually controlled by REEcorner ECUs, and the four corners’ function is controlled by REEcenter ECU. Traditional mechanical components have been eliminated between the wheels to create a fully modular design that’s nothing short of revolutionary.
The result is a commercial vehicle built for urban environments. REEcorner technology gives this 18,298 lb truck impressive maneuvering capabilities, and servicing is just as efficient. REEcorners are easily replaced, minimizing downtime for fleets by keeping vehicles on the road, and out of the shop.
The P7-C class 5 chassis cab represents the exciting next development in our P7 platform product family.

Low TCO
Designed for reduced downtime, quick servicing and long spans to pay off in the near- and long-term.
REEcorner
The REEcorner® integrates steering, braking, suspension, powertrain, and control into a single compact module positioned between the chassis and the wheel. Each corner is fully independent and managed by its own ECU, with the REEcenter ECU coordinating all corner-level functions. REE’s x-by-wire is the foundation of the REEcorner's unique design, enabling OEMs to build truly software-defined and autonomous-ready vehicles.
REEcorner® Technology Advantages
REE Auto is redefining the commercial vehicle industry with our fully modular software-defined electric vehicle platforms. We don’t believe the vehicles and fleets of the future need to be constrained by centuries-old technology and vehicle architecture. Instead, we seek to develop a versatile, customizable, modular platform that can be adapted to mission-specific applications. With this level of versatility, fleet operators, and OEMs can design and develop vehicles tailored to their exact requirements while reducing the total cost of ownership.
- Best-in-class function – right-sized and right-functioned vehicles for optimal volumetric efficiency, maneuverability, serviceability, and safety
- Energy efficiencies – Minimum aerodynamic drag and energy consumption
- Operational efficiencies – reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and delivery cycle times, improved driver ergonomics, and faster time to market
REEcorner®
The REEcorner® integrates all critical vehicle components (steering, braking, suspension, powertrain, and control) into a single compact module between the chassis and the wheel. Each REECorner® is completely independent and controlled by its own electronic control unit (ECU), with a REEcenter ECU that controls all corner-level functions.

Modularity & Scalability
Within a family of corners, significant synergies enable ease of modularity and scalability. The efficient development of vehicle variants can be achieved through REE’s hardware and software strategies:
Inboard Area
- Inboard of the subframe includes traction drive systems and steering & braking actuation. Here, configuration and modularity for 2WD vs. AWD, and front-wheel steer vs. all wheel steer are simply executed.
- Inboard systems are relatively consistent from application to application, maximizing core system and component commonization.
Outboard Area
- Includes REEcorner® suspension and foundation braking systems.
- Generally, these include industry-standard off-the-shelf components to allow for mission-specific customization while minimizing unique development requirements.
Software & Control
REE’s zone architecture and x-by-wire systems remain generally consistent throughout the entire range of applications from Class 1 to Class 6. This advantage of x-by-wire control enables significant development synergies by preserving core FuSa and Autosar based Software Development achievements including motion and stability dynamic functions and ISO 26262 and 21434.
