A REEvolution in last-mile delivery. Borne of a partnership with body manufacturers Morgan Olson & EAVX, Proxima is powered by REEcornerTM technology and our P7 platform, delivering a class 5 electric van purpose-built for last-mile delivery fleets.
First in last-mile delivery
REE is joining forces with industry leaders to launch the first drive-by-wire fully electric walk-in step van. This is a prototype for a class 5 electric commercial truck that features an EAVX and Morgan Olson body design and is powered by REE’s modular P7 platform.
The walk-in step van body is a new, ground up development and will be showcased for the first time on REE’s fully-flat and low P7 platform, which was unveiled in January 2022. The electric platform is intended to power class 3-5 vehicles with payloads up to 8,000 pounds, along with all-wheel steering and all-wheel drive.
The modular REEcorners™, x-by-wire technology, and fully-flat chassis enable unique benefits, operational efficiencies, and flexibility for fleet owners.
With the P7 platform at its core, the electric walk-in van prototype is able to achieve industry-leading maneuverability, visibility, low step-in height, greater volumetric efficiencies, improved aerodynamics, and improved serviceability.

- ENHANCED MANEUVERABILITY
- LOW STEP-IN HEIGHT
- IMPROVED DRIVER VISIBILITY
- EASE OF SERVICE
- Improved Aerodynamics
ENHANCED MANEUVERABILITY
Minimal turning radiuses enabled by all-wheel steer allows for optimal maneuverability in urban environments and loading docks.
LOW STEP-IN HEIGHT
The low load floor reduces step-in height by 12 inches or one full step, improving ergonomics and reducing operator delivery times.
- Promotes driver wellbeing
- Improves driver productivity
- Improves fleet operational efficiency
IMPROVED DRIVER VISIBILITY
REEcorners™ & x-by-wire control enable a fully flat chassis with a lower driver position to further enhance visibility.
EASE OF SERVICE
50/50 weight distribution allow GVW to be distributed across all four REEcorners™ enabling single rear tires. Fast REEcorner™ swaps, smart monitoring and over-the-air service updates significantly reduce repair times and TCO.
Improved Aerodynamics
Designed for optimal aerodynamics, delivering a 56% reduction in drag for maximum efficiency without compromising functionality. The low, fully flat P7 platform is free from any mechanical obstructions, reducing underfloor turbulence.
