About The Position

REE Automotive (Nasdaq: REE) is changing the electric mobility and aims at becoming the standard for electric vehicles. REE’s disruptive corner technology enables a completely flat and modular chassis that supports mission-specific EVs from class 1 to class 6 for commercial vehicles and people movers. 


REE is seeking a Logistics supervisor to support REE’s rapid growth and development activities globally. This role would report to the Global Transport Manager and would be based out of Detroit, Michigan.


The Logistics supervisor will take on a critical role of handling various aspects of freight forwarding shipments included but not limited to quoting shipments, tracking shipment and inventory management.


Responsibilities:

·      Develop Program Management strategy, methodology, and tools/processes that support a “Non-Event Launch” mindset.

·      Safely and efficiently performs assigned processes to meet the required daily logistics activities.

·      Collaborates and communicates with logistics team, customer service representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipment.

·      Compiles carrier and route assignments.

·      Tracks, traces, and updates the status of shipments.

·      Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

·      Ability to quote and route freight quickly across multiple transportation channels and services. Utilizing various resources. This includes all facets of Domestic Transportation. Expedites, LTL, White Glove, Warehousing, trade shows, Projects, and Dedicated truckloads.

·      Expanding and improving vendor relationships, including direct interaction, attending events and travel to dealers/client’s locations when necessary.

 

Other Duties

·      Lead the warehouse management at the sub-contractors

Requirements

• Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges

• Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Strong sense of time organization and urgency

• Able to work independently and within a team

• 3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, and Domestic operations experience.

• Experience processing shipments using UPS, DHL and FedEx software

• Basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

• Prior customs clearance experience is highly desirable
