Simulation Engineer

As a Simulation Engineer at REE, you will be primarily responsible for the development of simulation environments for MiL & SiL to support the V&V of control algorithms and application software. The role also includes test case authoring, data processing & analysis and tool development to support these activities.
Responsibilities:
- Defining the requirements of simulation environments to meet the needs of the team
- Creation and maintenance of simulation environments to support ASW development and V&V activities
- Leading analytical studies using simulation and CAE
- Run existing Virtual Sign-Off Simulation tests for Software releases
- Design system-level CAE test cases- based on system requirements, field issues, and functional safety, and perform simulation tests to verify and validate SW component/system against system requirement
- Support building vehicle CAE models and other required plant models
- Perform root cause analysis of issues detected on released SW or under-development SW
- Follow industry standards for building safe efficient, well-documented tests procedures & results
- Working closely with the Controls engineers to generate optimum algorithms
- System Level Test Case authoring, deployment, and execution
Requirements
Experience required:
- High level working knowledge of MATLAB & Simulink
- Experience with vehicle simulation software (e.g., Carmaker)
- Knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics and vehicle network architectures
- Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrable professional experience of Simulation/CAE
- ILR to live and work in the UK. REE do not offer work permits, visas or sponsorships
Advantageous experience:
- MBS simulation software (e.g., ADAMS) and working with HiL rigs
- Experience with Co-Simulation of Controls-Mechanical Systems
