About The Position

As a Simulation Engineer at REE, you will be primarily responsible for the development of simulation environments for MiL & SiL to support the V&V of control algorithms and application software. The role also includes test case authoring, data processing & analysis and tool development to support these activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining the requirements of simulation environments to meet the needs of the team
  • Creation and maintenance of simulation environments to support ASW development and V&V activities
  • Leading analytical studies using simulation and CAE
  • Run existing Virtual Sign-Off Simulation tests for Software releases
  • Design system-level CAE test cases- based on system requirements, field issues, and functional safety, and perform simulation tests to verify and validate SW component/system against system requirement
  • Support building vehicle CAE models and other required plant models
  • Perform root cause analysis of issues detected on released SW or under-development SW
  • Follow industry standards for building safe efficient, well-documented tests procedures & results
  • Working closely with the Controls engineers to generate optimum algorithms
  • System Level Test Case authoring, deployment, and execution

Requirements

Experience required:

  • High level working knowledge of MATLAB & Simulink
  • Experience with vehicle simulation software (e.g., Carmaker)
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics and vehicle network architectures
  • Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrable professional experience of Simulation/CAE
  • ILR to live and work in the UK. REE do not offer work permits, visas or sponsorships

Advantageous experience:

  • MBS simulation software (e.g., ADAMS) and working with HiL rigs
  • Experience with Co-Simulation of Controls-Mechanical Systems
