REE is revolutionizing e-Mobility from the ground-up. Our disruptive REE-corners and fully flat, ultra-modular EV platforms are set to become the standard for electric vehicles. Providing complete design freedom to build mission specific EVs, EVs ‘Powered by REE’ will provide maximum room for passengers, cargo and batteries with the smallest footprint and help reduce carbon emissions for a greener world.

REE is seeking a Suspension Lead Engineer to support REE’s rapid growth. 

Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of chassis and structures systems and components for prototype and production
  • Creation of commodity plans to ensure the timely delivery of the project
  • Agree component targets with the business and suppliers such as stiffness targets, D & R targets, NVH targets
  • Working alongside the Design Engineers to ensure engineering targets are met
  • Delegating tasks to other team members and ensuring that they deliver components in a timely manner
  • Supplier engagement and management
  • Ensuring suppliers deliver on time and to cost and weight target
  • Build support including concessions and mitigation plans
  • Planning CAE and DFM activities with design and CAE team
  • Supporting the creation of DFMEA’s
  • Plan verification tests using DVP’s when applicable
  • Communicating project plan and status to program management team
  • Liaising with other component owners to ensure robust integration of their systems
  • PLM (product lifecycle management) tasks
  • Processing change requests

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of component and system delivery
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • The ability develop relationships with suppliers and internal team members
  • Knowledge of castings, pressed components, sheet metal parts and welded and bolted assemblies
  • Experience of delivering chassis systems and components
  • Strong planning and problem solving skills with knowledge of industry tools aid this (DFMEA, DVP, 8D tools)
  • Strong decision making and leadership skills
  • Commercial vehicle experience an advantage
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
  • UK or equivalent Citizenship. We do not provide sponsorships
