As part of its rapid growth, REE is seeking a Sales Development Director, focused on the UK market to be an integral part of the business development team and take a leading role in the REE’s commercial activities

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, develop and foster business opportunities with new and existing customers within automotive and fleet operators and OEMs operating in the UK
  • Ensure closing of existing and new business activities with customers in a hands-on approach
  • Lead business development strategies including ongoing network with business partners and customers
  • Administer new business, communicate and follow-through each stage to ensure the company is aligned with customer needs, deadlines are met, and agreements are fully implemented
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the process from initial RFQ through full implementation and first deliveries to the customer/partner
  • Ensure ongoing reporting for current and prospective business

Requirements

  • Proven track record of generating revenue and closing agreements
  • Proactive ‘do-er’ approach, hands on, fast paced
  • 5 years (or demonstrable experience) within the UK EV automotive arena, in a business development related role
  • Experience in working for a UK-based fleet is an advantage
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of the electric vehicle ecosystem to include last & mid-mile delivery, commercial vehicles, ride-hailing, autonomous shuttles, fleet operators, fleet owners and OEMs
  • Track record of growing new businesses in a start-up or fast-growing technology company
  • Proven network of connections to seniors in the new mobility segment in the UK and EU
  • Experienced in drafting and negotiating agreements
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal & influencing skills and with high levels of empathy
  • Ability to foster working relationships and establish trust across organizational lines, internally and externally
  • Highly organised with an ability to balance multiple projects and escalations in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel – as required (vast majority of time spent in the UK)
  • Leadership, skills, knowledge, and experience to mentor and develop SW engineers in the team
  • Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ILR to live and work in the UK. REE do not offer work permits, visas, or sponsorships
