About Us
REE Automotive (Nasdaq: REE) is an automotive technology company that develops and produces software-defined vehicle (SDV) technology designed to manage vehicle operations and features through proprietary software. REE’s advanced Zonal SDV Architecture is designed to integrate seamlessly with legacy systems to improve vehicle safety, performance, and reliability. By centralizing key vehicle functions, the architecture seeks to enhance modularity, redundancy, and stability, and to enable safer and more efficient vehicle platforms. Powered by secured AI and deep over-the-air upgradability, REE’s technology allows for continuous updates and improvements throughout a vehicle’s lifespan. This makes Powered by REE® vehicles adaptable to customer and market changes and designed with future autonomy and connectivity in mind. REE was the first company to FMVSS certify a full by-wire vehicle in the U.S. Its proprietary by-wire technology for drive, steer, and brake control removes the need for mechanical linkages, supporting flexible design and optimized performance. Through its approach of “complete not compete,” REE enables original equipment manufacturers and technology companies to license its SDV technology, allowing them to design and build vehicles tailored to their specific requirements using REE’s scalable, future-ready platform.
Our Vision
To redefine mobility by enabling a new era of software-defined, autonomous-ready, and modular vehicles built upon REE’s scalable and future-proof SDV technology platform.
Our Mission
To empower automakers, fleet operators, and technology innovators with the tools to design, build, and operate intelligent, adaptable electric vehicles, faster, safer, and more efficiently.
Our Approach
“Complete, Not Compete”. We partner with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and technology companies by licensing our technology and providing flexible integration solutions. This enables to design and manufacture SDV vehicles without needing to reinvent the underlying vehicle control architecture.

Our Story
REEcorner prototypes
Built and rigorously tested the first REEcorner prototypes under extreme conditions to prove core by-wire steering, braking and drive technology.
X-by wire architecture
Established the modular architecture that would become the backbone of REE’s software-defined platform.
Fail-operational proof
Demonstrated that REE’s by-wire steering and braking systems could safely continue operating even if one channel failed, a breakthrough previously not included in a U.S. certified commercial vehicle.
Commercial viability
Proved the business case for REE’s by-wire architecture by developing a scalable platform suited to fleet applications and operational efficiency.
P7 platform development
Created the P7 modular platform to serve Class 3–5 fleets, with a flat-floor design enabling maximum payload, battery packaging, and body flexibility.
REE UK center
Launched an automated integration center to produce our REEcorners and other REE technology.
P7-C production launch
Began production of the P7-C demonstration vehicles at REE’s Coventry, UK facility, integrating four REEcorners into the world’s first fully by-wire commercial truck.
Safety validation
Conducted system integration testing, proving redundancy, stability, and fail-safe operation across all vehicle function domains.
P7-C Extreme weather testing
Validated reliability across extreme climates environments, ensuring readiness for deployment, including to OEMs.
FMVSS certification
Achieved the first-ever U.S. FMVSS approval for a fully by-wire commercial vehicle, marking a landmark regulatory milestone in automotive history.
Autonomous program
Selected by Airbus UpNext to enable autonomous operations using REE’s fully by-wire platform.
EPA and CARB certification
Achieved EPA and CARB certifications, unlocking market access and incentives for zero-emission SDVs.
U.S. pilot program
Deployed P7-C demonstration vehicles with fleets and dealers across the U.S., proving uptime, serviceability and commercial viability.
Strategic Partner
Formed a strategic supply chain management partnership with Motherson
Licensing and partnerships with OEM
Launched REE’s software-first path to market, offering OEMs, tech companies and fleets the opportunity to license REE’s by-wire and SDV platform globally.
Announced a one year pioneering SDV collaboration with Mitsubishi Fuso to convert the eCanter into a cloud-connected, upgradable SDV over which Fuso is set to evaluate REE’s SDV technology for potential future vehicle lineups.
