About The Position

REE is changing the electric mobility and aims at becoming the standard for EVs.

We work with leading automotive players worldwide and technology companies to ensure the development, engineering and manufacturing.

We are currently looking for an experienced Chassis Steering Systems Lead Engineer to support REE’s rapid growth.


Responsible for the delivery of a REE steering systems, which meets the program-specific targets including functional performance, quality, cost and timing

Develop and monitoring technical targets for integrating design, CAE, development, legal and performance criteria. 

Responsible for population and maintenance for steering systems BOM’s in PLM, and content. 

Owns mechanical inputs into steering system specifications. 

Responsible for steering system DFMEA. 

Provides input into mechanical DVP requirements. 

Responsible for technical Interface to steering system suppliers, surrounding systems/aggregates owners including packaging. 

To provide support to other aggregates in the business to achieve release deadlines. 

Identify opportunities to reduce complexity, cost and weight. 


Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree qualified in Engineering, Science or a related discipline

Senior level experienced of working in a complex engineering environment.

Have proven experience of developing and delivery of steering system from concept to production within an OEM or tier 1 organization. 

Experience of steer by wire systems an advantage. 

Possess good understanding of steering system attributes, service implications, and manufacturing and assembly requirements. 

A good knowledge of rig validation methods and vehicle structural testing is an advantage. 

Understand what influence steering system design has upon the overall dynamic behaviour of the vehicle. 

Have a good all-round engineering knowledge, i.e., material selection, tolerancing, FEA analysis, component manufacturing processes, quality control, etc.  

Project planning, DFMEA, DFA, DFM experienced

Managing workload in a fast-paced environment with potential for changing priorities.

Working experience of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Excel and Word

Be a team player with the ability to work alongside talented colleagues as part of a driven and dedicated team
