WE at REE currently have an exciting new position in our EV Engineering team. We are seeking an experienced Senior EDU Calibration Engineer to support REE’s rapid growth.


  • Responsible for delivery of Electrical Drive Unit Performance and System Interface between Inverter Software and REE Vehicle Software
  • Develop Commissioning and Calibration Procedure for Electrical Drive Unit Performance to meet System Attribute Targets (Performance, Efficiency and Drivability)
  • Develop Vehicle & Rig DVMs for Inverter Functions and Features
  • Support implementation of ISO 26262 Functional Safety for Electrical Drive Unit to meet Software Maturity Level Target required by programme gateways and validation of test cases released by FuSa
  • Set up Test Rig (SiL/HiL/ViL) and evaluate & calibrate Electrical Drive Unit Performance in the rig.
  • Support debugging of Electrical Drive Unit Software issues in the test rigs and vehicles
  • Must be able to travel abroad to support cold and hot environment test trips


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • 5 plus years experience working knowledge and experience with electrical vehicles
  • Proficient experience in Performance Calibration or Attribute Delivery
  • Expert on Calibration Processes using calibration management tools like Vector CDM or AVL Creta
  • Experience in data acquisition and analysis with Vector CANalyzer/CANape or equivalent
  • Knowledge of AC electric machine and three-phase switching power converter topologies
  • Knowledge of Motor Control Algorithms, Motor Characterization and Optimization
  • Experience in building vehicle or system model to perform pre-calibrations before vehicle testing using Matlab/Simulink or equivalent CAE tool
  • Knowledge ISO 26262 functional safety concept and software development process
  • Knowledge of ASPICE software requirement development
  • Experience in developing digital control algorithms for 3-phase switching inverters and AC electric machines
  • Driving License
  • UK Citizenship without any requirements
