Corporate Counsel

REE is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support REE’s rapid growth


  • Provide legal advice for the company's business units and develop Best Practices Policies to insulate the company from liability
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates and develop and implement the appropriate policies
  • Offer counsel on a variety of legal issues and provide clear legal advice and practical business-focused solutions enabling the business to achieve its objectives while preserving and protecting the Company's integrity and reputation
  • Negotiate and draft a wide variety of commercial contracts
  • Draft and negotiate legal terms for a wide variety of commercial contracts including agreements with automotive partners, suppliers and customers
  • Research unique legal issues impacting the organization by identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions and codes
  • Manage and assist with all aspects of the litigation process as it arises, including assessing risk, developing strategy, partnering with outside counsel matters to develop strategies consistent with company philosophy and minimizing outside counsel legal cost
  • Provide advice and guidance related to government inquiries including civil rights, environmental and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to identify and resolve legal issues, balance legal and business concerns, and draft and negotiate agreements in a global environment
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team; excellent leadership and collaboration skills; excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational, and strategic thinking skills; ability to work effectively in a global environment; and ability to multi-task various matters related to several areas of the law
  • Ability to develop practical solutions to complex legal questions


  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • 3-4 years of experience in a law firm or in-house role preferably with 2 years of law firm experience
  • Experience in a tech, automotive related company or hyper-growth company preferred
  • Excellent strategic and analytical skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work well independently and on a team
  • Excellent judgment, particularly in determining the significance of legal matters in tandem with business objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, with the ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels throughout REE
  • Ability to write in a universally-understandable and persuasive manner
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain terms 
  • Creative and out-of-the-box approach
  • Strong quantitative capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with very good interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel, internationally when required
  • ILR to live and work in the UK. REE do not offer work permits, visas or sponsorships
