REE is revolutionizing e-Mobility from the ground-up. Our disruptive REE-corners and fully flat, ultra-modular EV platforms are set to become the standard for electric vehicles. Providing complete design freedom to build mission specific EVs, EVs ‘Powered by REE’ will provide maximum room for passengers, cargo and batteries with the smallest footprint and help reduce carbon emissions for a greener world.

We are currently looking for an experienced Instrumentation Prototype Technician to support REE’s rapid growth.


The primary function of the instrumentation prototype technician is to support instrumentation activities for prototype builds at both component, sub assembly, and test mule vehicle level. The role is also expected to support test work and properties whilst on test both in the UK and abroad if required.


Qualifications & Requirements:

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in low volume prototype builds.
  • Experience in many aspects of instrumentation especially but not limited to;
  • Bespoke instrumentation installation into a variety of electric vehicle areas such as corner unit assys, test mule chassis, battery packs, electric motors etc
  • Thermal, strain gauge, and pressure sensing equipment and installation
  • Data acquisition methods and processes
  • Accelerometer and GPS measuring equipment
  • RLD instrumentation and data gathering at test mule level
  • Experience of both low and high voltage vehicle systems and their interaction with prototype vehicle builds.
  • HV Authorised Person (or equivalent) minimum.
  • Competent at soldering at connector and PCB level.
  • Ability to read, interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to perform basic measurement and inspection tasks both at component and assembly level.

Preferred Experience:

  • HV senior authorised person trained (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Familiarity with test vehicle commissioning and shakedown processes / procedures.
  • Understanding of component and vehicle level DVP testing and data gathering desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence ideally with ability to drive up to and including category C1-E desirable.
  • UK passport or equivalent and willingness to travel occasionally as the business requires.
