REE is seeking an experienced Functional Safety Manager to support REE’s rapid growth and development.

The Role

Responsible for the implementation ISO26262 (pt.6) and its interpretation within REE’s EV platforms to satisfy ISO26262 guidelines

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop safety concepts and safety plans for REE’s EV platforms according to ISO 26262
  • Analysis of the functional safety following software modifications, reported failures together with PFSM, and suggest safety solutions
  • Conduct periodic reviews, status meetings, assess the project, and arrange any audit to ensure compliance to ISO 26262 functional guidelines
  • Development of customer relevant work products defined in ISO 26262
  • Liaise closely with Programme, Functional Safety and software teams to ensure TSC SW related functional safety requirements are correctly refined into high level and low-level designs and tests
  • Support REE’s EV platform related SW/HW development teams to derive safety related design and test cases


  • Certified ISO26262 Automotive Functional Safety Professional
  • Previous Project Management and delivery of the implementation of ISO 26262
  • B.Sc. Or M.Sc in electrical engineering, software Engineering, or relevant subject
  • At least 4 years of experience in one of the following: software development, HW development, system architecture. Experience in writing specifications is a must
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in functional safety for automotive.
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508
  • Proven experience on development and implementation of safety concepts
  • Proven experience of safety analysis methods (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA)
  • Specific knowledge in software development for ASIL requirements
  • Experience in direct customer and supplier engagements
  • High analytical, strategic and conceptual competence
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of medini analyze would be beneficial
  • Current working and residential permit to live and work in Germany

Office Location: Combination home office / remote working from REE's corporate Germany office
